Whitefish populations have changed dramatically over the past two decades with increases in Green Bay whitefish populations and fewer young fish appearing to spawn in northeastern Door County. This is the first of two meetings scheduled to continue seeking stakeholder feedback as DNR works to find a balance between recreational and commercial interests given the growing public appeal of whitefish.
